Hawks Perform Well at Atlantic Ten Fall Regatta
Philadelphia (11/4/00) - The St. Joseph's women's rowing team turned
in strong performances at the Atlantic 10 Fall Regatta held on the
Schuylkill River on Saturday.
Senior Renee Hykel led the Quad entry to a second place finish behind
UMass despite the Hawk foursome having rowed together just three
times prior to the event.
The Varsity eight and the Lightweight Eight came on strong in the
varsity eight race, finishing third and fourth behind two UMass entries.
The SJU freshman eights placed a respectable fourth and seventh
finishes in the field of eight boats.
The Hawks will wrap up their season at the Frostbite Regatta on
Saturday, November 11 on the Schuylkill River.
