PHILADELPHIA -

The Saint Joseph's men's and women's rowing teams are in the midst of competition at the 72nd Annual Aberdeen Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River. Races continue thru Saturday afternoon.

NOTE: Due to the weather forecast for Saturday, the schedule has been adjusted. Go to www.dadvail.org for the revised schedule.

Here are the up-to-date results after the first day:

WOMEN

* Varsity 4 - 3rd place; advances to semi

* Varsity 8 - wins heat; advances to semi

* Freshman 4 - 4th place; no advancement

* Freshman 8 - wins heat; advances to semi

* 2nd Varsity 8 - 2nd place; advances to semi.

MEN

* Varsity Pair - 2nd place; advances to semi

* Varsity 8 - 3rd place; advances to repechage

* Lightweight 4 - 1st place; advances to semi

* Varsity 8 - 2nd in repechage; advances to final

* Freshman 8 - wins heat; advances to semi

* Lightweight 8 - 3rd place; advances to semi

* Freshman Lightweight 8 - 2nd place; advances to final
