Four Hawks Named to A-10 All-Academic Women's Rowing Team

Brady, Greway, Herdmann, and Rozsits earn honors.

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team had four student-athletes - Danielle Brady, Colleen Greway, Katie Herdmann and Lauren Rozsits - named to the 2010 Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team, as voted on by the league's sports information directors.

Brady, a junior from Palermo, N.J., was a member of 2010 A-10 champion Quad boat and also rowed for the Varsity 8 that finished second at the Atlantic 10 Championship. In 2009, Brady rowed for the Hawks' Atlantic 10 champion in both the Varsity 8 and the Quad. A member of the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll during her career, she is an elementary/special education major.

Greway, a senior from Westmont, N.J., earns All-Academic honors for the second time in her career. She was a member of the Hawks' 2010 Atlantic 10 Champion Quad, which won for the second year in a row, while rowing for the Varsity 8 which placed second at the conference championship. She was named to the 2010 Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team and in 2009, rowed for the Hawks' A-10 champion Varsity 8. Greway will be honored at Commencement on May 15 as the co-recipient of the Class of 1950 Award, for the top graduating female student-athlete, and also with the George Senesky Award as the top female scholar-athlete. She is an elementary/special education major.

Herdmann, a junior from Libertyville, Ill., rowed for SJU's Varsity 8 which took silver at the 2010 A-10 Championship. In 2009, she helped the Hawks' Second Varsity 8 to second place at the conference meet and was a member of the 2008 A-10 champion in the Freshman 8. A member of both the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, she is majoring in psychology.

Rozsits, a senior from Landenberg, Pa., Rowed for SJU's Varsity 8 which took silver at the 2010 A-10 Championship. She was a member of the Hawks' Varsity 8 which earned the 2009 Atlantic 10 title. A member of both the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll, Rozsits is a finance major.

Saint Joseph's closes out the season at the Dad Vail Regatta on May 7-8.
