Women's Rowing Hosts Full Weekend of Racing

March 27, 2009

PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team looks remain unbeaten in 2009 with a big weekend of racing at the Murphy Cup on Saturday at the Schuylkill River. Then on Sunday, the Hawks will take on Dayton and UConn in a tri-meet, also on the Schuylkill.

Saturday's Murphy Cup will pit the Hawks against a large field of teams (25), with some very strong teams, including Navy, Bucknell, Trinity, and Villanova. Heats begin at 9 a.m. with the finals ending the day at 4:30 p.m. The Hawks will then get some rest to race UConn and Dayton at 8 a.m. on Sunday.
