HENLEY, ENGLAND - Despite turning in the second fastest time of the morning, Saint Joseph's Women's Varsity 8 crew was eliminated by London's Imperial College in the quarterfinals at the Henley Women's Regatta on the Thames River.

Imperial got off to a quick start and took the early lead on SJU's crew which included Kate Parry, Brianna Kearns, Amanda Holland, Liz Sauter, Meg Henry, Jenn Linck, Lauren Sysol, Kaitie Reehill, and Debbie Bateman. The Crimson and Gray battled back, but were unable to make up the time and fell by 3.5 seconds, crossing the finish line in a time of 5:11.5. The next fastest time was 5:18.
