PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - The Saint Joseph's women's rowing finished in a tie for third place at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championships, matching their best ever finish. The meet took place at the Cooper River with blustery conditions, as a strong tail wind created choppy conditions for the final 500 meters.

The Hawks' Varsity 8 finished strong in second place to medal for the fourth straight year. SJU clocked a 6:42.43 while Rhode Island finished at 6:37.08.

Saint Joseph's Quad took the gold medal for the second straight year. The crew was comprised of: 4- Brianne Kammerman, 3- Danielle Brady, 2- Colleen Greway, 1- Christina DiSanto

SJU's Freshman 8 and Freshman 4 each both earned silver medals in the championship.

The Second Varsity 8 placed fifth in the meet.

"Overall it was a solid day. We were a little disappointed in the Varsity events that we didn't step up to the challenge. We have some iimprovements to make for Dad Vails," said coach Gerry Quinlan.

The Hawks' Colleen Greway and Christina DiSanto earned All-Conference First Team honors, while Tina Regan was an All-A-10 Second Team selection.
