PHILADELPHIA - The Saint Joseph's women's rowing team competed at the Murphy Cup on the Schuylkill on Saturday, with the Varsity 8 and Freshman 8 both earning second-place finishes.

The Hawks' Varsity 8 placed second behind Bucknell in the Grand Final. The schools had the same finish in the Freshman 8.

SJU's JV8 placed third while the Freshman 4 placed fourth.

Saint Joseph's returns to action next weekend at the George Washington Invitational on April 9-10.
