FOLEY, GRESH NAMED TO IWLCA ACADEMIC HONOR ROLL

PHILADELPHIA (06/17/03) – Senior Lauren Foley and junior Megan Gresh have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) academic honor roll. This year marks the first time since 2000 that Saint Joseph's has placed student-athletes on the honor roll. Foley started all 15 games at midfield for the Hawks, and scored seven goals and added four assists for 11 points. She ranked fifth on the team in all three categories and added 22 groundballs and 20 caused turnovers. An information systems major, Foley sports a 3.79 grade point average and is a member of the Atlantic 10 academic all-conference team. Gresh also started all 15 games at defense, finishing second on the team with 34 groundballs. She also tallied three goals on the season, including the game-winner with 40 seconds left in a 10-9 come-from-behind victory over American. Gresh is a biology major with a 3.80 grade point average and is a member of the Atlantic 10 academic all-conference team. Siobhan Leavy and Donna Burke were the last Hawks to be named to the IWLCA academic honor roll in 2000. Saint Joseph's finished its season with a 4-11 overall record and a 0-7 mark in the Atlantic 10.
