PHILADELPHIA - The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) recognized Saint Joseph's by placing two recently-graduated players on the Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be chosen, all student-athletes were nominated by their schools and had achieved at least junior status academically. Elizabeth Fox and Meghan McDevitt have been selected from SJU for their dedication and hard work in the classroom. Fox, a midfielder out of Marlton, N.J., started all 16 games last season. The 2012 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second Team selection posted 28 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers and had two assists in a win over Presbyterian. McDevitt, an attack from Lancaster, Pa., played in 14 games with 12 starts in 2012. The third-highest team scorer, McDevitt finished the season with 23 points from 13 goals and 10 assists. The senior picked up nine ground balls and caused three turnovers overall and netted a hat-trick against Manhattan. For a complete list of the IWLCA academic Honor roll, click here.
