Saint Joseph's Names McCool and Herlihy Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coaches

PHILADELPHIA - Lindsey-Kate McCool and Suzy Herlihy have been named assistant coaches for women's lacrosse at Saint Joseph's University, it was announced by head coach Denise Roessler.

McCool, a 2008 graduate of Saint Joseph's, served as a graduate assistant for the past two seasons while completing her graduate degree in criminal justice.

McCool graduated from SJU as the all-time leader in ground balls (151), tied for the all-time lead in games played (63), second in career assists (65) and fifth all-time in points (140).

Additionally, McCool led the team in assists all four of her seasons on Hawk Hill and was vital to the offense from the midfield position. She also provided excellent defense, causing 56 turnovers, which ranks fourth all-time in the program's history.

Herlihy graduated from SJU in 2009 as second all-time in goals against average (8.97), third all-time in saves (462) and fifth all-time in save percentage (.510) and ground balls (126). The three-year goalkeeper currently holds the career (24) and single-season (10) records for most wins.

Herlihy was named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, the only player in the program to receive the award, which she received in 2009 after leading the league in goals against average (8.48) and save percentage (.521).
