Women's Lacrosse Falls to No. 11 Richmond, 20-2

RICHMOND, VA - The Saint Joseph's women's lacrosse team lost to No. 11 ranked Richmond 20-2 Friday afternoon. Freshman Jessica Westlake tallied both goals for the Hawks.

The nationally ranked Spiders took control early and controlled momentum throughout the first half as Richmond took an 11-0 edge into halftime.

Following a Spider goal to open the second half, Saint Joseph's freshman Jessica Westlake got the Hawks on the board, cutting the deficit to 12-1.

From there, Richmond would outscore the Hawks 8-1 over the remainder of the game as Westlake tallied SJU's second goal.

Saint Joseph's concludes its 2006 season this Sunday as they host St. Bonaventure. The Hawks will also hold its annual senior day.
