Herlihy, a 2009 SJU graduate, joins the women's lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the 2011 season. She graduated as second all-time in goals against average (8.97), third all-time in saves (462) and fifth all-time in save percentage (.510) and ground balls (126). The three-year goalkeeper currently holds the career (24) and single-season (10) records for most wins. Herlihy was named Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year, the only player in the program to receive the award, which she received in 2009 after leading the league in goals against average (8.48) and save percentage (.521). |
