Hawk Field Hockey Standouts Honored

PHILADELPHIA - Junior Katelyn O'Brien, sophomore Nicole Antonini and freshman Rebecca Cunfer are the latest Hawk field hockey standouts to pickup postseason honors. O'Brien and Antonini were both tabbed to the 2004 All-Philadelphia Field Hockey team, while Cunfer was named to the National All-Rookie Team by womensfieldhockey.com.

O'Brien and Antonini received All-Philadelphia recognition for the second consecutive year. The tandem were also named to the All-Atlantic 10 Conference Team. Antonini finished among the ntional leaders in both assists and points.

Cunfer ranked second in the Atlantic 10 and 19th nationally with a 1.41 GAA. In 1,142 minutes of play, she registered six shutouts on the season, the most by a Hawk freshman since 1985. She was a two-time Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week and ECAC National Goaltender of teh Week selection.
