PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's freshman Ellen Rowe was named the Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week on Monday afternoon. It is the second straight week she has earned the conference's weekly award.

Rowe scored her second goal of the season on Friday afternoon in SJU's 2-1 overtime win over La Salle. With six seconds remaining in the first half and the Hawks trailing, 1-0, Rowe took off on a breakaway and beat the Explorer goalkeeper to knot the game. The Hawks would then go on to win in the extra frame to improve to 2-0 in overtime games this season.

Saint Joseph's heads out on the road for a Friday afternoon game with Richmond. The contest is slated to start at 3:30 p.m.
