ANTONINI AND O'BRIEN TABBED TO ALL-PHILADELPHIA FIELD HOCKEY TEAM

PHILADELPHIA (12/03/03) - A pair of Saint Joseph's University field hockey standouts have been named to the All-Philadelphia field hockey team. The two Hawks honored were freshman Nicole Antonini and sophomore Katelyn O'Brien. The 16-member squad honors the best Division I field hockey players in Philadelphia. The Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year, Antonini led Saint Joseph's in goals and points with nine and 21, respectively. The forward from Collegeville, Pa. had two game-winning goals and was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 15. Antonini was also named to the A-10 All-Conference team. O'Brien, meanwhile, had a breakout sophomore season. The Havertown, Pa. product led SJU with five assists placed second on the squad with six goals and 17 points. In addition to the two SJU players, also named to the team were Drexel's Patty DeBow, and Karie Walton; La Salle's Colleen Bolger, and Sara Camilli; Erin Conroy, Melissa DeCesaris, and Haley Dervinis of Temple; Pennsylania's Emily Farnesi, Liz Lorelli, and Lea Salese; and Villanova's Leah Lisausky, Christina Lugones, Vanessa Pizulli and Rory Rogers. Penn's Liz Lorelli was named the Most Valuable Player of the All-Philadelphia Team. Pennsylvania also won the City-6 Cup, going 5-0 against city opponents.
