SCHMOLTZE NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-A-10 FIELD HOCKEY TEAM
PHILADELPHIA (11/18/03) - Saint Joseph's senior Amie Schmoltze has been named to the Atlantic 10's Academic All-Conference team in voting conducted by the league's sports information director's . A two-time All-A-10 selection, Schmoltze tallied two goals and three assists for seven points this season. The Hawk captain has also been named to both the SJU Athletic Director's and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls and the NFHCA National Academic Squad.
Along with Schmoltze, the Academic All-Conference field hockey team consists of West Chester's Azure Yoder, Jenna Frankenfield, Liz Morrow, and Kendra Wood; Jaime Bawden and Adrianne Monaco of Massachusetts; Sara Camilli of La Salle; Temple's Haley Dervinis; Joy Hess of Rhode Island; and Richmond's Michelle Swartz. Yoder was named the League's Student-Athlete of the Year.
