HAWKS BLANK LEHIGH, 3-0

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (09/15/02) - Pitching its first shutout of the season, the Saint Joseph's University field hockey team (3-1) blanked Lehigh (2-4) at the Ulrich Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon by a final of 3-0.Seniors Kelly Butler and Brett Dymarczyk and freshman Katelyn O'Brien scored for SJU.

Lehigh played good defense, holding St. Joe's to just five shots, but the Hawks capitalized on three of those opportunities to come away with the win. The Mountain Hawks held an 8-3 advantage in penalty corners.

Courtney Huff made one save in goal for St. Joe's to pick up the shutout. . SJU will not play again until hosting Penn State on September 2.
