MERION STATION, Pa. - Sophomore Jordan Martin tallied her fifth goal of the season on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't enough as the Saint Joseph's field hockey team fell to Colgate, 5-1, at Ellen Ryan Field.

Colgate (2-7) took a 1-0 lead early in the first half on a goal by Eliana Brown.

The Raiders extended the lead in the second as Kelsey Jensen scored off a penalty corner with 23:02 remaining. Colgate then added a pair of penalty stroke goals to extend the lead to four.

Martin got one back for Saint Joseph's (2-7) midway through the half, picking up the ball near midfield and taking it all the way into the arc before sending it into the cage.

Kendall Zaharris wrapped up the scoring with 10:31 to go with her second goal of the year.

The Hawks enjoyed a 27-13 advantage in shots during the game, as well as a 20-8 edge in penalty corners.

The Hawks will close out their homestand on Friday afternoon with a 3:00 p.m. game against Ohio.
