EASTON, PA - A late Saint Joseph's rally was not enough to overcome a pair of early goals by Lafayette, as the Hawks dropped a 3-2 decision at Rappolt Field. With e loss SJU slipped to 4-3, while the Leopard improved to 3-4.

Lafayette got off to a fast start tallying twice in the opening minutes. SJU, however, cut into the lead before halftime thanks to a goal by senior Emily Mannion to make it 2-1.

The Leopards extended there lead to 3-1 early in the second half. A furious rally late produced a second Hawk goal from senior Hilary Moody, but SJU was unable to equalize.

The Hawks return to the field on Sunday to host Rutgers.
