MORAN AND ZAMPELLA NAMED TO A-10 ALL-CONFERENCE TEAM
PHILADELPHIA (03/01/01) Senior Angela
Zampella and junior Susan Moran were named
to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team at
the league's annual awards reception at Loews
Hotel. Zampella earned all-conference honors for
the fourth time, while Moran was recognized for
the third year in a row.
Moran earned the league's scoring title for the
second straight year, averaging 22.6 points per
game. She joins Dale Hodges (1988-90) as only
the second Hawk to avergae 20 points for an
entire season. Zampella, meanwhile, ranks
second in the nation in assists.
In addition, Moran was honored as the A-10's
Scholar Athlete of the Year. That distinction
earned her a spot on the Academic
All-Conference squad. Freshman Amra
Mehmedics was chosen for the All-Rookie
Team.
