PHILADELPHIA, PA - Saint Joseph's redshirt freshman Erica Pollock earned Big 5 Rookie of the Year accolades and junior Faith Schutte was named to the Big 5 All-Academic Team Thursday evening at the Big 5's annual banquet.

In her first full season of action for the Hawks, Pollock put up solid numbers, finishing second in scoring at 8.9 points a game. Making 24 starts, Pollock led the Hawks in rebounding (6.2 per game) and blocked shots (34). A member of the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, Pollock led the Hawks in field goal percentage at 43.4 percent.

An English major, Schutte boasts a 3.87 grade point average. The junior forward, who was given the team's academic award yesterday, is a three-time Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll member, Schutte averaged a career-high 6.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game this year.
