PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's women's basketball head coach Cindy Griffin will join fellow area coaches at the Philly Girls Got Game clinic on April 24 at Neumann-Goretti High School. The clinic, which runs from 9 a.m. until noon, is free to girls age 8 to 13, as well as parents and coaches. Philly Girls Got Game was created to help improve the development of the game of basketball for young girls. Inspired by Letty Santarelli, the group's objective is to introduce more girls to the game of basketball, provide them with the tools they need to improve their fundamental skills, allow them to enjoy the game with friends, and to achieve success both on and off the court. Griffin will join Denise Dillon of Drexel, Mike McLaughlin of Penn, Tonya Cardoza of Temple, Harry Parretta of Villanova and La Salle's Jeff Williams, as well as student-athletes from all six universities, in running skill stations, games, and other fun events. People interested in attending are encouraged to register in advance at www.PhillyGirlsGotGame.com, call 610-500-BALL or email info@phillygirlsgotgame.com for more information.
