PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior forward Brittany Ford earned Atlantic 10 Women's Basketball All-Conference Third Team honors, while freshman guard Ashley Prim was named to the A-10 All-Rookie Team, conference officials announced Wednesday.

Saint Joseph's leading scorer, Ford has paced her team with 10.2 points per game and shooting a team-best 51.5 percent from the field (106-of-206). An All-Conference Honorable Mention a season ago, she has also bolstered the Hawks' defense, recording 27 rejections and is averaging 4.8 rebounds per game. A four-year letterwinner, Ford is 20 points shy of 1,000 for her career and is currently 21st in school history with 444 career rebounds. She is the 53rd Saint Joseph's player to earn All-Conference honors.

Currently fourth in the Atlantic 10 in assists, Prim has been a staple of the Hawks' starting lineup this year. Just the second rookie in SJU history to lead the team in assists, she has handed out 105 helpers, while averaging a team-best 27 minutes per game. Making 27 starts and appearing in all 29 games this year for SJU, the 5-foot-7 point guard enters the Atlantic 10 Tournament second on the team in steals (42), fourth in scoring (7.3 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (4.2 rpg). Prim, the 12th Hawk to be named to an Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team, is joined by Dayton's Kari Daugherty, George Washington's Brooke Wilson, Xavier's Katie Rutan and Jasmine Watson of Massachusetts on this year's squad.

Saint Joseph's (16-13) faces Fordham Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Tournament. This year's tournament is being held at the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
