PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's women's basketball senior guard Mariame Djouara has been named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Week, for the week of February 15-11, it was announced Monday.

In the Hawks' victory over Rhode Island on Wednesday, Djouara scored 12 points, and added five rebounds, an assist, a block and a steal as Saint Joseph's clinched a berth in the Atlantic 10 Tournament. She followed that with a stellar performance in Saint Joseph's 67-66 win at Richmond on Sunday. Djouara, who posted her first double-double of the season in the victory, scored 11 of her 13 points in the second half and finished with a game-high 10 rebounds. An All-Big 5 Second Team selection last year, Djouara averaged 12.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, while shooting 50 percent from the field (11-of-22).

Saint Joseph's returns to action this Thursday at Massachusetts. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the Mullins Center.
