Women's Basketball Caps Non-Conference Play With Win Over Penn, 42-34
Behind a 19-4 run to close out the game, the Saint Joseph's women's basketball team capped its non-conference schedule with a 42-34 victory over Big 5 foe Penn Saturday afternoon at Hagan Arena. The victory gives the Hawks 10 non-conference wins for the second-straight year and improved their record to 11-5 overall and 1-1 in the Big 5.

• The Hawks, currently 8-5, will finish with a winning nonconference record for the third-straight year and 25th time overall since joining the Atlantic 10 for the 1983-84 season.
• Saturday's game is the second Philadelphia Big 5 contest of the season for SJU. The Hawks are currently 0-1 in the City Series this season after falling to Villanova, 55-51, on December 8.
• The Hawks are currently second all-time in wins in the Big 5 (95-35), four behind Villanova (99), and have won a share of 15 Big 5 titles, the most recent in 2008-09.
