WASHINGTON (AP) - Candice Dupree had 12 points and five rebounds to help No. 16 Temple beat Saint Joseph's 61-51 Saturday in the Atlantic 10 tournament, extending the Owls' winning streak to 22 games.

Kamesha Hairston added 11 points and seven rebounds as Temple shot 47 percent from the field.

Temple moves on to Sunday's semifinal against Xavier or Massachusetts. Coach Dawn Staley is one win away from 100 career coaching victories. Her record is 99-50 in five years at Temple.

Playing its first game of the tournament after receiving a first-round bye, Temple (25-3) fell behind 10-6 before scoring 11 unanswered points to take a 17-10 lead.

The Owls continued to dominate after the break, extending their lead to 38-18 four minutes into the half, allowing Staley to rest her starters. The bench kept Temple ahead, but Saint Joseph's was able to close the gap in the waning minutes.

Ayahna Cornish led the Hawks (7-23) with 19 points and added 11 rebounds. Timisha Gomez and Schutte each added nine points for Saint Joseph's.
