Hawks Fall To No. 20 Owls, 68-49

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Cynthia Jordan scored 15 points to lead No. 20 Temple to a 68-49 victory over Saint Joseph's on Thursday.

Candice Dupree added 13 points and 12 rebounds and Kamesha Hairston had 13 points for the Owls, who won their 16th consecutive game, a school record.

Ashley Morris was 4-of-5 from the field and added 10 points for Temple (19-3, 11-0 Atlantic 10), which never trailed and led 33-23 at halftime.

Temple shot 25-of-52 (48 percent), including 5-of-10 on 3-pointers.

Saint Joseph's (5-18, 3-8) hit just three field goals in the first 10 minutes of the second half, falling behind 52-33. Saint Joseph's shot 16-of-42 (38 percent) and committed 28 turnovers.

Ayahna Cornish led the Hawks with 13 points while Faith Schutte added 10.
