The Saint Joseph's women's basketball team will take on Vanderbilt in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday, March 23. Tip-off is set for 11:05 a.m. at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut.
The SJU men's and women's basketball teams were introduced to students in Hagan Arena on October 21.
2011-12: Member of the Atlantic 10 and SJU Athletic Director's Honor Rolls...Shot a career-best 37.1 percent from the floor (13-of-35)...Appeared in 22 contests...Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and four steals to got with seven points, including a season-high three three-point field goals, against Lehigh...Scored seven points at St. Bonaventure...Handed out a career-high five assists in Atlantic 10 Championship victory over Fordham...Added six points in win over George Washington...Scored five points in A-10 semifinals against St. Bonaventure...Finished with three points in win at Xavier...Added two points in wins over Dartmouth and Sacred Heart.
2010-11: Recipient of the SJU's Roosevelt Hunter Community Service Award...Member of the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll...Played in a career-best 28 games, making a start versus Villanova...Scored a career-high 11 points and added three rebounds, two assists, a block, and a steal in Hawk Classic title game win over Lafayette...Added eight points and three rebounds in Hawk Classic win over New Hampshire...Hit 2-of-2 from three-point range for six points and added three rebounds in win over La Salle (2/19)...Chipped in with six points and three rebounds against Xavier (1/12) and Penn (12/7)...Handed out a season-high three assists against Providence, at Penn and against Villanova...Played a career-best 36 minutes versus Villanova...Added a point in WNIT contest against VCU...Snagged season-high two steals and added two points, two rebounds and an assist at Boston College.
2009-10: Appeared in 11 games..Played three minutes in collegiate debut at New Hampshire....Went 1-of-1 from three-point range, 4-of-4 from the foul line and added a rebound in win over Penn...Scored four points and added a rebound in victory over Brown...Handed out a season-best two assists off the bench in win at St. Bonaventure...Added a rebound against UMBC...Dished out an assist at Massachusetts...Member of the SJU Athletic Director's Honor Roll in the fall and the spring....Played for Spain's U-20 European Women's Basketball Championship squad during the summer, helping her country to a silver medal...One of just 12 players selected to represent Spain...Averaged 3.3 points and 2.0 rebounds in 13.8 minutes per game over nine contests.
International Competition: Guided Spain to the title at the 2011 FIBA U-20 European Championships...Averaged 7.1 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game...In the title game, scored three points and added three rebounds and an assist in a starting role...Invited to the Spanish National Team U-15, U-16 and U-18 selection camps...Competed with the U-16 squad in international competition in Italy and France...One of 15 players to compete for a spot on the U-18 National Team.
High School: Spent four seasons with the club team U.E. Mataro at both the junior (ages 16 to 18) and senior (over 18) levels...In 2007, helped U.E.
