DiDio Top Hawk as SJU Men Place Tenth at Paul Short

LEHIGH, PA - Junior Mike DiDio placed fifth overall to help the Saint Joseph's men's cross country team to a tenth place finish in the competitive 24 team field at the 31st annual Paul Short Invitational.

DiDio coverd the course in a time of 24:13.74 to place fifth overall out of 163 runners in the Division I men's race. DiDio was followed by sophomore Teddy Myers (25:08.03) who placed 47th and junior Joe Mohn (25:17.44) who placed 58th. Senior Collin Martin (25:31.93) was 72nd and freshman Will Rowland (25:56.40) placed 92nd to round out the Hawk scorers.

Freshman Rich Ryan (27:08.97) in 136th place and junior Rich Anderson (28:52.31) who was 159th completed the SJU lineup.

The overall winner on the men's side was Joshua McDougal of Liberty as he crossed the finish line in a time of 23:43.53. Georgetown took the team crown for the second consecutive year as the Hoyas scored 94 points. Villanova, Auburn, La Salle, Yale, Penn, Princeton, William and Mary, Penn State and St. Joe's rounded out the top-ten.
