Freshman Jonathan Sclafani Earns A-10 Cross Country Honors

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's University men's cross country freshman Jonathan Sclafani was named Atlantic 10 Men's Cross Country Rookie of the Week for the week ending September 4.

Sclafani was rewarded for his efforts at the Haverford Invitational Time-Trial Meet on September 1. He placed second overall with a time of 15:50.12 to pace the Hawks in his first collegiate meet. He is the first Hawk harrier to receive A-10 Rookie of the Week honors since Doug Rick and Andrew Thomas shared the award in January of 2005.

The men's cross country team next competes at Lock Haven on Saturday, September 16.
