DIDIO ADDS ECAC PERFORMER OF THE WEEK TO HIS RESUME
PHILADELPHIA (09/16/03) – Saint Joseph's sophomore harrier Mike DiDio has been named the ECAC Performer of the Week, announced by the conference office Tuesday. Earlier this week, he was named the Atlantic 10 Co-Performer of the Week.
DiDio finished first at the Fordham Invitational on Saturday in a field of 190 competitors, helping the Hawks to their second consecutive invitational title. The sophomore finished with a time of 25:23, beating classmate Andre Laboy by four seconds.
The honor marks the first time that DiDio has been recognized by the Atlantic 10 and the second time a Hawk has been cited this fall. Freshman Teddy Meyers was named the conference's Rookie of the Week on September 2.
Saint Joseph's is off until October 3 when it travels to the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational.
