DIDIO NAMED ATLANTIC 10 CO-PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
PHILADELPHIA (09/15/03) – Saint Joseph's sophomore harrier Mike DiDio has been named the conference's Co-Performer of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. He shares the award with La Salle's Bryan Skelly.
DiDio finished first at the Fordham Invitational on Saturday in a field of 190 competitors, helping the Hawks to their second consecutive invitational title. The sophomore finished with a time of 25:23, beating classmate Andre Laboy by four seconds.
The honor marks the first time that DiDio has been recognized by the Atlantic 10 and the second time a Hawk has been cited this fall. Freshman Teddy Meyers was named the conference's Rookie of the Week on September 2.
Saint Joseph's is off until October 3 when it travels to the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational.
