DIDIO CAPTURES INDIVIDUAL TITLE TO LEAD HAWKS TO WIN AT FORDHAM

NEW YORK, NY (09/13/03) -- Sophomore Mike DiDio captured the individual title and SJU produced the top three finishers in winning the Fordham Invitational at Van Cortlandt Park. DiDio traversed the hill and dale in 25:23, edging classmate Andre Laboy by four seconds. Junior Collin Martin placed third with a time of 25:40. Freshman Teddy Meyers finished sixth overall with a time of 25:47, while sophomore Dave Masse rounded out the Hawk top five with a time of 26:16 (11th overall). Senior Rob Hewitt (23rd, 26:48) and sophomore Joe Mohn (28th, 26:55) capped the top seven for SJU. The Hawks finished with 23 team points, followed by city rival Penn (45), Columbia (75), and Lafayette (185). Saint Joseph's is off until October 3 when it travels to the prestigious Notre Dame Invitational.
