LABOY, REGAN RUN AWAY WITH ANOTHER A-10 ROOKIE OF THE WEEK HONOR
PHILADELPHIA, PA (10/21/02) - Freshmen Andre Laboy and Ann Regan, runners on the Saint Joseph's cross country teams, were honored on Monday as the Atlantic 10 Co-Rookies of the week. For Regan, it was the fifth time she has been honored with the award. It was Laboy's third award.
Laboy, a rookie from Danbury, Conn., placed fifth overall with a time of 25:58 at Lafayette's Leopard Invitational on Saturday. As a team, the Hawks captured first place in the 12-team field.
Regan, from Springfield, Pa., placed fifth overall at the Leopard Invitational with a time of 21:08.81, just 12 seconds off the lead. The Hawks placed third in the 12-team field.
The Hawk harriers are idle until November 2 when they compete at the Atlantic 10 Championships.
