NCAA Men's Cross Country Championship Results

TERRE HAUTE, Ind.--Saint Joseph's senior co-captain Kyle Murray competed in his first NCAA Championships finishing 145th overall on Monday. The competition was held on the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course hosted by Indiana State University.

Murray, a Jamison, Pa. native, completed the 10-kilometer course at the Wabash Valley Family Sports Center in a time of 31:12.6.

It was the first time a Hawk has represented SJU at the Championships since 2003 when Andre Laboy finished 76th. Murray's the fourth harrier under head coach Mike Glavin to compete at NCAAs.

Four runners from the Atlantic 10 competed on Monday, as the Lemon brothers from Dayton finished ahead of Murray, while Richmond's Matt Llano was 31 places behind Murray.

Oregon's Galen Rupp led the Ducks to their second consecutive Championship, while Rupp took home the individual title.

The 2008 cross country season is now complete for Saint Joseph's.

Glavin and the Hawks will return to action for the 2008-09 track seasons in Easton, Pa. for the Lafayette Invitational.
