Men's Cross Country Finishes Second at UMES

Princess Anne, Md. - The Saint Joseph's men's cross country team finished second out of 11 teams competing in the Cappy Anderson Invitational 8K race at UMES on Saturday. Hawks' sophomore, Kevin McDonnell placed third, running the course in 25:18.91. The Hawks placed their top five runners in the first 12 places in the 5K, with McDonnell leading the pack while graduate student Kyle Murray followed closely, finishing fourth with a time of 25:21.58. Junior Brian Guterl placed eighth in 25:39.61. Rounding out the scoring for the Hawks were senior Jonathan Sclafani who finished the course in 25:47.90 and freshman Jon Mazzio who came in at 19:50.92 in 11th and 12th, respectively. The Hawks next compete at the Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, October 2 at 11:00 a.m.
