HAWK MEN FINISH FOURTH AT LAFAYETE 6-WAY

EASTON, PA (3/27/04) - Led by sophomore Andrew Thomas, who won the 400 and placed third in the 200m, the Saint Joseph's men's track team placed fourth at the Lafayette 6-Way. Thomas won the 400m in an IC4A qualifying time of 47.43. He also ran the 200m, placing third in 22.13. Besides Thomas, two other Hawks won their respective events. Freshman Teddy Meyers captured the 5,000m in a time of 14:56.07 and senior Jerry Puryear won the 400m Hurdles in an IC4A time of 53.48. Additionally, the 4x400 (3:15.63) relay took first and qualified for IC4As. Doug Rick (48.38) placed third in the 400m, Mike DiDio (1:53.73) was second at 800m, followed closely by Mett Petrocci (1:55.39), who was third. Collin Martin (9:38.84) was second in the Steeplechase and Brad Schmidt (4:02.19) took third at 1500.
