HAWKS PLACE 4th AT ONESTY INVITE

CHARLOTTE, VA - The St. Joseph's men's track team placed 4th at the Onesty Invitational, held at the University of Virginia on Saturday. The Hawks defeated Rider, VMI, Lafayette, Georgetown, James Madison, Richmond, and Howard. Rutgers took the overall title with Virginia and Monmouth rounding out the top three. Junior James Scott led SJU with two first place finishes. The speedster took home gold in both the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Senior Karl Savage and junior Ben Koch round out SJU's first place finishers. Savage claimed first prize in the 1500 meter run (3:49.14) while Koch won the 5000 meter run (15:09.27). Other highlights include a third place finish by Tim Fisher in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:30.95) and a fourth place showing by Terry O'Connell in the triple jump (39'6). The Hawks next compete on Saturday, April 21 at the Lafayette Invitation.
