HAWKS COMPETE AT PENN STATE INVITATION

STATE COLLEGE, PA- The St. Joseph's men's track team traveled to Happy Valley this past weekend to take part in the Penn State Invitational. Senior Karl Savage led the Hawks with his record-breaking performance in the 3000 meter run. His time of 8:13.87 set a new school record and is the fastest time in the Atlantic 10 this season. The time was good enough for eighth place. Junior James Scott placed fifth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.71, fastest in the A-10 this season, while freshman Andy Craycraft placed sixth in the 500 meter run. Other highlights include a 13th place finish in the 5000 meter run (15:23.13) by Bill Hoffman and a 15th place finish by Brian Rosetti in the mile (4:15.46). SJU next compete's on Saturday and Sunday, February 3-4, at the Delaware Invitational.
