HAWKS COMPETE AT PRINCETON

PRINCETON, NJ - The St. Joseph's University men's track team competed at the Princeton New Year's Invitational on Saturday, December 9. The Hawks were led by junior Marc Maccario who placed first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 50.7 seconds while also teaming up with junior Mike McCabe, freshman Andy Craycraft, and senior Geoff Valentine to win the mile relay (3:21.47). Junior James Scott was the other individual winner, placing first in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.61 seconds. Craycraft placed second in the 500 (65:54) while Valentine placed fourth (51.4). McCabe and freshman Kile Gargulio gave SJU a 3-4 finish in the 400-meter dash running 50.8 and 51.4 respectively. The Hawks will take a hiatus until the New Year when they travel to Bucknell on January 6.
