Feb. 18, 2005

Philadelphia - Saint Joseph's University men's and women's track teams will be competing at the 2005 Indoor Track & Field Championships at the University of Rhode Island's Mackal Field house this weekend.

The high jump kicks off the men's Championship at 9:45am. Rhode Island men's team won it's third-ever Atlantic 10 title last season. The URI women's team also looks to defend their title, after setting a record number of points to win last year's meet. The high jump begins the women's portion of the Championship at 2:30 pm.

Saint Joseph's Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond, Temple and Xavier are all in the hunt for Atlantic 10 Champions. The 2005 Championship marks the first year of competition for Xavier in men's and women's indoor track & field.
