PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior Francisco Velazquez was a big winner as the Hawks took three flight championships at the annual Swarthmore Fall Invitational. Velazquez won both the Flight A singles and doubles championship over the weekend. Defeating Swarthmore's Jon Reiss in the singles final 6-4, 6-3, he then teamed up with junior A. J. Garbabedian in the doubles final. The duo defeated Aaron Kusza and Dimitri Chimerakis from Villanova.

Also winning championship matches were Michael Portonova and Chris Spencer. Portonova defeated teammate Antonio Amiello 4-6, 7-6, 11-9 in the Flight B singles. Spencer upended teammate Van Homer Pangilinan 6-4, 6-3 to bring home the Flight C title.
