SJU DOWNS LOYOLA, 5-2

PHILADELPHIA (04/02/02) - The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team posted their sixth win of the season Tuesday afternoon against Loyola 5-2. The Hawks topped the Greyhounds in singles action as freshmen Francisco Velazquez and Homer Pangilinan along with seniors Damon Dennin and Pat Mulvaney were all victorious at the #2, #3, #4 and #6 slots respectively. SJU was successful in doubles as the #1 pair of freshmen Velazquez and Pangilinan and #2 duo of seniors Shawn Farrokh and Damon Dennin upset the Greyhounds 8-1 and 8-3 respectively. The Hawks, 6-9, take on UMBC when they travel to Baltimore April 4.
