HAWKS FALL TO BUCKNELL 6-1

PHILADELPHIA, PA (3/24/02) -- The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team was topped by Bucknell 6-1 during Sunday afternoon's match. The lone win was notched by freshman Francisco Velazquez. Velazquez, who leads the Hawks at the number two singles position, upset Bison foe Joe Menezes 6-2, 7-5. SJU struggled to survive against Bucknell dropping all other singles matches. In doubles action the number one seeded tandem of Velazquez and Van Homer Pangilinan bested their opponents 8-4. The Hawks look to rebound Tuesday, March 26 at Monmouth. That match is set for 3:00 pm.
