Men's Netters Swept by Columbia, 7-0
Feb. 5, 2005 NEW YORK - The Saint Joseph's men's tennis team dropped its first dual match of the spring season falling to Columbia, 7-0, at the Dick Savitt Center. The Lions took the doubles point by winning all three matches and then swept the singles matches without dropping a set. SJU hung tough in doubles, but were unable to pick up a point. Francisco Velazquez and A.J. Garabedian were downed 9-8 at first doubles, Van Homer Pangilinan and Chris Spencer were edged 9-7 at second doubles and Antonio Aniello and Zach Dixon fell, 8-5, at third.SJU was easily handled in singles play.
