PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's senior Patrick Duddy has been named the Philadelphia Soccer Seven Player of the Week for October 15.

Duddy scored the game-winning goal in the Hawks' 1-0 Atlantic 10 and Soccer Seven victory over Temple on October 13. Duddy pressured a Temple defender and gained possession, sprinted 18 yards and converted a 10-yard shot in the 81st minute for the game's only goal.

It was the first career goal for the forward from Hatfield, PA (North Penn H.S.).

The victory snapped a six-game winless streak for the Hawks and gave them their earliest Atlantic 10 win since 2003. SJU is now 2-6-1 heading into Tuesday's game with Philadelphia University.
