NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Freshman midfielder Tim Lazorko has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week, the league office announced today. Lazorko has been selected for games played during the week of September 24-30.

Lazorko paced Saint Joseph's to a perfect 2-0 week with wins over Bucknell and Loyola (Md). The freshman standout scored his first collegiate goal on a game-winner in the 81st minute to lift Saint Joseph's over Bucknell on Tuesday. With the win, the Hawks snapped the Bison's five-game winning streak and handed Bucknell its first home loss of the season.

Lazorko then registered the game-tying goal against Loyola in the 84th minute, forcing the match into overtime. The Hawks would go on to defeat the Greyhounds 2-1.

Starting and playing eight of nine games for Saint Joseph's, Lazorko has netted two goals and tallied one assist for the Hawks in his debut season.
