PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's freshman men's soccer defender Travis Gast earned Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week honors for the week of September 18-24.

In Saint Joseph's lone men's soccer game of the week, Gast collected three points in the Hawks' 3-2 win over La Salle on Saturday. The rookie defender assisted on the Hawks' first-half goal and tallied the game-tying goal in the second half. Gast is the first SJU men's soccer player to receive A-10 honors weekly since John Creed was named Rookie of the Week on October 18, 2004.
