Andrew D'Ottavi Named Soccer Six Co-Player of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's soccer goalkeeper, Andrew D'Ottavi (Petersburg, N.J./Ocean City), is named Philadelphia Soccer Six Co-Player of the Week for his exceptional performance in the week ending Sept. 14.

D'Ottavi totaled 27 saves in three games played this week, including a career-high 17 saves in Friday's loss to James Madison despite being outshot 27-4. D'Ottavi made five saves each in losses to Drexel on Wednesday and Towson on Sunday afternoon.

D'Ottavi started all five games played and leads the Soccer six with 38 saves this season thus far, improving his save percentage to .745 in 405 minutes played.

D'Ottavi shared the award with La Salle's Kyle Quigley.

SJU returns to the field on Friday in the Stetson Soccer Tournament. The Hawks will take on Stetson at 7:30 p.m. in their first match of the tournament.
