MATT JAMES RECEIVES ATLANTIC 10 AND COSIDA ACADEMIC HONORS
PHILADELPHIA (11/25/03) - Saint Joseph's soccer player Matt James (Skippack, Pa.) has received recognition for his accomplishments in the classroom. The senior was named to the Academic All-Atlantic 10 Team and to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 2 Team.
James, a pharmaceutical marketing major, earned Atlantic 10 honors for the second consecutive year. The Dean's List student was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District squad for the first time in his career.
James was the Hawks' third leading scorer in 2003 with two goals and one assist. He had the game-winning goal in a victory over La Salle as the Hawks recorded their most Atlantic 10 wins (5) since 1994.
Saint Joseph's went 8-11-1 on the season.
